Overview
The IUSTeC Centre was established as part of the 2018-2022 Project of Excellence of the Department of Law at the University of Verona in order to promote the development of research on the relationship between law, technologies, decision-making processes, and socio-economic and cultural changes, and to ensure its excellence through the promotion and the accredited training of research teams based on criteria of internationalisation, multi-disciplinarity and project management standards, and through the evaluation of research outputs.
Therefore, the IUSTeC Centre is ideal for:
– planning research on Law, Changes and Technologies, thus becoming an engine for the establishment of professional networks;
– boosting internationalisation and the inter-disciplinarity of research through the establishment of national and international research networks and collaborations with research centres, departments and leading authorities in these fields, starting from the centres of excellence based at the Department of Law, and more generally at the University of Verona;
– promoting the establishment of “research teams” as soon as the research for each topic of the Project gains an international and interdisciplinary dimension, including project management activities for projects to be awarded via open competitions.
The IUSTeC Centre supports the organisation of conferences and national and international seminars on the topics that are covered by the Excellence Project, and provides opportunities for training and professional updating for teaching staff and researchers active in the relevant fields, also in collaboration with the IDEA innovative teaching laboratory.
